Hollister Creative, a Philadelphia marketing communications, graphic design and website design firm, has won top honors for the second year in a row in the international MarCom Awards competition.

This year’s Hollister awards include Platinum and Gold honors for two websites — the highest awards given in the competition judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. Hollister also received an Honorable Mention for brochure communication.

The MarCom Awards bring Hollister Creative’s total in national and international marketing, design and communications competitions to 13 in the last two years, including five for website design.

This year’s MarCom competition drew more than 6,500 entries from the United States, Canada and countries around the world, with judging based on a point system for standards of excellence.

Hollister Creative earned the prestigious Platinum Award for the new website, www.independenceconstructionmaterials.com, it designed for Independence Construction Materials based in Malvern, Pa. Independence Construction Materials produces high quality aggregate and asphalt products at 17 locations in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia, and the award was given in the Website/Manufacturer category. Platinum Awards go to “the most outstanding entries in the competition” based on quality, creativity and resourcefulness.

The Gold Award was earned for a new website for MetroAlert of Wayne, Pa. (www.metroalert.com). MetroAlert provides software solutions for police departments and other law enforcement agencies to handle Records Management, Computer Aided Dispatch, Resource Management, Information Sharing and Geographic Systems. The award was given in the Website/Small Businesss category. Gold Awards honor entries that “exceed the high standards of the industry norm.”

Hollister Creative’s Honorable Mention honor in the Brochure/Educational category was for design of a Commencement 2013 booklet for Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa.

The MarCom Awards program is an international creative competition that recognizes “outstanding achievement by marketing and communications professionals.” Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, design shops, PR firms, production companies and freelancers. Winners range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.

Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talents “exceed a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.”
