Hollister Creative, a Philadelphia area marketing communications agency, has been honored with a 2016 Communicator Award, continuing the agency’s winning streak for international awards and bringing its total to 23 in the last four years.
This year, Hollister Creative received a Silver Award of Distinction in the category of “Newsletters for an Educational Institution” for its work on the Mastery Matters Newsletter for Mastery Charter Schools, a nonprofit network that operates 21 schools serving 12,000 K-12 students in Philadelphia and Camden.
Hollister Creative worked with Mastery to develop a newsletter that would achieve two goals: strengthen the network’s brand as well as strengthen internal and external relationships. The newsletter design refreshed the visual aspects of the Mastery brand; these design elements were then applied to all of Mastery’s communications materials.
Utilizing its knowledge of Mastery’s mission of bold thinking, assertive ambition and forward momentum, Hollister Creative developed a design for the newsletter that included bold graphic elements, large washes of color and friendly typefaces. The newsletter content was all woven together in a fluid and consistent layout.
Our client, the Director of Communications, stated: “I have worked with Hollister Creative for six years now, starting at another organization. I have always been impressed with the way the team responds to my inquiries, questions and needs. They are very patient and supportive. And they always produce quality work. It is a delight to work with Hollister.”
The Communicator Awards are known as “the leading international awards program recognizing big ideas in marketing and communications.” Now in its 22nd year, the Communicator Awards receive over 6,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes. Sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, this year’s other winners include Google, Aetna, Gap, Comcast, Disney, and Toyota North America.
