Delaware New Tech Academy

Who they are
Delaware New Tech Academy is a groundbreaking education model being introduced in Delaware by the Seaford School District. It enrolled its first students in August 2011 as a "school within a school" at Seaford Senior High School. The New Tech approach offers a comprehensive academic program featuring Project Based Learning and daily use of computers and technology in the classroom. In addition to lectures and textbook assignments, students learn by working in teams on real-world projects. As they progress through their projects — some of which come from businesses or institutions in the community — they are taught all the academic content and skills appropriate to their grade level. Then they apply what they have learned to the challenges of their project. Learn more at www.DelawareNewTech.org.
What we do for them
In partnership with Innovative Schools, a non-profit public school support organization in Delaware, Hollister Creative has assisted Delaware New Tech Academy in every phase of its launch. To introduce the Academy to the community, Hollister created the program's branding and its website, wrote and designed informational brochures for both students and parents, and crafted newspaper ads and promotional flyers. In addition, Hollister helped organize and deliver a public relations campaign for the Academy, creating and distributing news releases to media outlets throughout Delaware. The story was picked up by Delaware's largest newspaper, a television station and a radio station, among other outlets. Delaware New Tech Academy quickly filled its first freshman class.
Why they like us
"With approximately 12 other high schools across the nation becoming New Tech high schools this August, Delaware New Tech Academy has had the opportunity to lead the way in recruiting and advertising thanks to Hollister Creative. Without the help of Hollister Creative, Delaware New Tech Academy would not have had the success in recruiting that we have experienced. Hollister was very instrumental in helping us get the word out about Delaware New Tech Academy to our stakeholders. Whatever I asked of Hollister's team, they were willing and able to complete the task in a timely manner. The website they created is inviting, informational and quite impressive. Because of Hollister Creative's professional commitment to customer satisfaction, I would recommend Hollister Creative to any organization and/or business that needs a dedicated, capable and professional design firm to help them with any marketing/graphic design needs."
