Banner stands provide big bang for your bucks
Q: We can't afford a fancy trade show display, but we need something to get attention for our exhibit table. Got any suggestions?
A: Try a banner stand. If you've been to a conference or convention lately, you've seen them in action. They are the compact, light weight, pop-up displays that stand on the floor or a table to provide high-visibility branding or product information — and they are very affordable!
If you're thinking of getting one, decide first if you'll be using your display over and over or only occasionally. The most inexpensive models may be perfect if your pop-up won't get much use. But if you plan to use it many times, you'll want to pay more for something sturdier.
Consider also how you'll use your pop-up. Most displays open fully to a height of six to eight feet, but some also offer the option to open partially, for use on a table top. This will give you more flexibility; just remember to keep the important information toward the top of the display. Another flexibility factor: You can purchase one stand and replace the paper display for different uses.
